We provide the digital cultivation recipe, in simple terms, the ideal condition for growing plants. Sensors constantly collect data such as pictures, temperature, humidity, and CO2, which is then sent to a cloud server.
Re:Alize, cooperatively developed with NEXTAGE Inc. (JAPAN), uses AI image analysis to monitor the growth and health of wasabi 24/7. The digital cultivation recipe automatically decides and controls the environment, and provides instructions for disease treatment if necessary. Both Re:Alize and the digital cultivation recipe continuously learn from the collected data. Once they learn how to grow other plants, they can be immediately applied to them as well.
Growing module
We are successfully operating an affordable growing module that uses a vertical hydroponics system housed in a 40-foot shipping container. Traditional soil-based systems are difficult to maintain due to bacteria, but research from the R&D center for plant factories at Osaka Cosmopolitan University (PFC) shows that hydroponics is a viable alternative when nutrients are properly controlled.
Our system provides a semi-automatically controlled environment that perfectly suits the needs of plant based on our “digital cultivation recipe”.
Currently we provide digital cultivation recipe for wasabi, Lettuce, Spring onion and so much more to come.
Our unique features
We are jointly developing a method to control plant growth conditions based on the Luna tide-generating force with partners.
We are also exploring the use of plant smells for disease detection. In addition, one of the features of Re:Alize is an illuminometer that suggests leaf pruning.
